Wheaton Christian Grammar School's elementary grades of 1st-5th grade form a solid bridge between the Kindergarten and the Jr. High. Here are some distinctions of our elementary grades:

Math groupings are in place to meet students' needs and abilities. Our hands-on Science curriculum provides a solid foundation for students' future STEM studies. Outdoor Education (two nights at Camp Timber-lee for 5th graders) is a highlight and culmination of a year's study in natural and applied sciences. Our use of Classical Roots curriculum provides a strong foundation in Greek and Latin word derivations. A phonics-based spelling program is in place as well. Cursive writing is not a lost art at WCGS; it is both taught and emphasized!

Parents often use the word "balanced" when they describe Wheaton Christian Grammar School because the strong academic program comes along with numerous fine arts and co-curricular activities. And what about students who need extra help? Systems are in place to offer support and structure, encourage student responsibility, and connection/communication with parents.
